Message from the president
Nicholas Serfas
President
Dear Neighbors, Volunteers, and Friends,
It is an honor to step into the role of President of the Town of Mount Royal Volunteer Centre, and I thank you deeply for your trust.
For years, our Centre has been a cornerstone of solidarity in TMR. Whether providing vital medical transportation, offering a reassuring presence during doctor appointments, or sharing a warm conversation through friendly visits and phone calls, our mission remains simple yet profound: ensuring that none of our seniors or those facing a loss of autonomy feel left behind.
As I begin my mandate, I am focused on a clear vision to guide our next chapter, built on three key priorities:
- Deepening Support for Our Volunteers: You are the backbone of this organization. My goal is to ensure you feel valued, heard, and fully equipped with the resources and training you need to thrive.
- Expanding Our Partnerships & Outreach: By forging stronger ties with local schools and businesses, we can build a vibrant, multigenerational network of support. This collaborative approach will help us reach even the most isolated seniors who may be harder to find but need us most.
- Ensuring Long-Term Sustainability: We are committed to optimizing our resources and diversifying our community support to guarantee that our vital services remain active, resilient, and ready to serve TMR for years to come.
To support this vision, I am thrilled to share that we have just launched our brand-new website! This platform will serve as a centralized focal point for our community, making it easier than ever to connect with us, find information, request services, or get involved.
Behind every service we offer is a dedicated volunteer. Through a simple smile, a helping hand, or a listening ear, you break down isolation and remind our neighbors that they are a cherished part of our community.
If you have ever considered giving a little of your time, I encourage you to visit our new website and join us. Together, we can ensure that a helping hand continues to warm hearts across our town.
Thank you for your continued support, generosity, and trust.
